Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park
Do you wish it would feel like winter here in Florida? Well we’ve got good news! If you haven’t driven past it yet or if you’re not in the downtown area often, Curtis Hixon park has set up their annual Winter Village! Fully equipped with an ice rink, Christmas themed shops, and tons of decorations and lights, the Winter Village is an awesome place to check out whether you’re going with your children or even your adult friends. If you’re going with the kids, then you might not want to check it out, but if you leave them at home and are out with friends, make sure to stop into one of the great nearby bars like Remedy when you’re done ice skating and sipping hot cocoa! www.wintervillage.com
2019 Holiday Lighted Boat Parade
It seems like almost every city in Florida with a river or beach access has a lighted boat parade for each holiday, but do they do it as well as Tampa? Well… probably. Regardless though, it’s still a Tampa tradition, and it’s definitely a tradition that we’re not mad about. What’s not to love about getting some friends together or the family and heading down to the beautiful Riverwalk to relax and enjoy a boat parade? The best part about the parade is that if you head on over to The Sail by the Tampa Convention Center, you can enjoy a few drinks while you watch the parade. We can’t think of a better way to spend the Saturday night before Christmas. The parade is Saturday, 21 from 6:30 pm-9:30 pm.
Tampa’s 3rd Annual Ugly Sweater Bar Crawl with Party Bus
When it comes to Ugly Sweater Bar Crawls, it seems like everybody on the planet thinks they can host one. Out of all the ones being hosted in Tampa and St. Pete, there’s only one worth going to. This specific ugly sweater crawl has everything you could ask for from a bar crawl including: free welcome shots at each bar, Christmas bar games at each bar, an ugly sweater contest, free beers to shotgun, transportation to each bar on a party bus, and more! You would be lucky to find a bar crawl that has even half of that stuff, and don’t even get us started on the price for this crawl. At $25 a ticket, they make it so that anybody can afford to come out to the event. Snow on 7th Avenue Holiday Parade
We’ve really got 2 parades on our list? Yes that’s right. The Snow on 7th Parade has fun for children and adults. Families can attend and enjoy the parade, and the kids will even get a glimpse of Santa Clause! And be sure to stick around until the end where they’ll make it snow in Florida! For adults, you can go and enjoy the parade as well, and then BOOM! You’re hanging out in Ybor City on a Saturday night. Make sure to check out some of our favorite bars in Ybor City like Coyote Ugly, Zydeco Brew Werks and Gaspars Grotto. Busch Gardens Christmas Town
Are family or friends in town visiting for the holidays? Well if they want an experience that is uniquely Tampa, you have to take them to Busch Gardens for Christmas Town. Not only is the park ordinarily an amazing time, but for Christmas they take it to another level with their lights, shows, meet and greets, and food! So walk around and sip some hot chocolate while you look at the Christmas lights (over a million) that they’ve spread all over the park. If the out-of-towners in your life haven’t been before, visiting is definitely a must.
